It's not all book talk at the Cafe. There's a fair amount of gossip as well. The Marsh is in a rural area, surrounded by farms. People live pretty far apart, and exchanging gossip is like the news. And there's nothing the local Marsh people like better than to talk about incomers, people not from here. Because everyone gets themselves into trouble some time. The locals usually keep their misfortunes to themselves and no one knows about them until someone dies. But the incomers, well, they are a different story, and quite often are the story....
